Today, I woke up with a different song in my head. Upon contemplating the tasks for today, something said, “Don’t worry about work. Take care of yourself… starting now”. Whatever you say, mystical being in my mind! As advised, I spent the morning healing, and mentally preparing more so than I usually do. I didn’t understand why I did until bad news struck right before noon. Despite the upheaval I just crossed paths with, my response was unlike any other. It was tamed despite the inner turmoil, controlled, and fixated on resolution. Bing! It All Makes Sense! I had earlier taken into control all of the power in my being, thus preparing me for whatever forces tried to take my power. It could have been an event, a persona, or a thing. Either way it had no control of my world.
This letter is for you lovely beings who have given too much of yourself in any given situation. If you ever feel as if something or someone has always tried to push you back three steps, I’m here to tell you that the problem is not their power over you. The REAL problem is the power YOU are giving up, and handing over to your inflictor.
Do not put your power in others.
Do not allow forces against you to be stronger than you are because you must reason with the fact that you can not control them. You can control yourself, your responses, your actions, your philosophy, and your world. You can control your power and where it goes first by acknowledging that you have power. YOU ARE THE ONE! You have the force mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, metaphysically!
Now that you know you have power in any and all of these areas, you need to figure out where you are putting this force. Think about using your power in your works, your desires, and your influence upon whatever worlds you wish to impact. You must NOT give yourself wholly to something or someone, because it very well can consume you. You are not meant for one thing, but many! This is the wonderful thing about being human! You are here to experience the MANY that exists! If you find yourself being drained from a job, a person, a place, or an unexplainable thing, you are giving your power away, and you need to come back to where you were, when life felt a little lighter. Giving your power to others gives them authority over you. Remember, you are living this world to learn self-control. In The Matrix a wise young child explained that when using his power of telekinesis, one can not actually bend the spoon but instead their mind, which bends the realm that they exist in. Bend your mind and the forces that lie within! Therefore, no weapons formed against you will prosper!
