The Newbies

Yoohoo!

*Props out leg into ongoing traffic* I couldn’t help but notice there are a lot of newbies discovering their own self-healing/supernatural journey.

Okay, let’s omit the leg propping. I’m not looking for pervy cat callers.

From one interconnected metaphysical being to another, I wanted to let you know that you are not the only one looking for answers in the worlds of the supernatural, or The Worlds We Live In. I’ve noticed a significant jump in curiosity around me, so here we are!

It’s not easy jumping in the boat of all things surreal and hidden in plain sight; especially if you’re doing it on your own. Whether you are about to embark on a personal journey into healing, craft, history, inner peace, or a quiet hobby of “collecting stones”, I’ve created a few building blocks for you to carry on your grand path.

AND If you haven’t been reassured as of yet, you are doing great, and your journey is going to be worthwhile!

Newbie Tips on Entering the Supernatural and the Self!

  1. Be Open

Be very aware that the supernatural journey is about you too! It’s time for you to be open to yourself (ALL OF YOU), your past, your present, and your future already swirling around you. Think about the long term you, but don’t get caught up in the future. Think about your past, and the doors you’ve laid shut for so long. You may end up opening more doors than you think. Your journey is about unravelling the truth. Therefore, you have to be open to revealing your truth to yourself. And think about your present, because you live in it. Be open to the journey you have set for yourself. You may not be in control of everything, but you are in control of your decisions, and your perspective. Allow your perspective to be as flexible as possible so that you may be open to new information, even if you don’t agree with it.

  1. Research… and Research!

Whether you are a student or a lone wolf learning about the worlds around you, it’s imperative that you do a lot of research on your many curiosities, and seek out many sources for the information. Just because we live in the era of information, it doesn’t mean it’s all true. Read more than one source per topic, and ask why very often! Keep information that relates to you the most, but keep the stimulation going! Learn about things that help you understand the world around you too! Don’t allow your own ignorance or frustration to blind you from understanding other people’s truths. Being on a personal journey is all about training your brain to be who you choose to be, allowing you to sense your surroundings differently. By expanding your mind, you are granting yourself permission to be able to do more than you previously thought you could.

  1. Get Rid Of Distractions!

I get it. I GET IT! We can’t just toss our phones into the nearest lake because it supplies a lot of responsibility. But put it down whenever you don’t need it. Leave it in the other room. Try to watch less tv. In general make some routine time to yourself so that you can learn SELF DISCIPLINE! Sounds boring at first, until you start to discover some pretty enticing super powers that arise once you allow your brain to chill from the everyday distractions. This may be hard to do, but after sorting some time and space to yourself, you’ll start to realize exactly how many things take up space in your life. Distractions are some of the easiest tactics used in spiritual warfare. What you don’t know, could hurt you, huh? Incorrect. In the world of the supernatural, subtlety is key.

  1. Pay Attention to the Subtle Things!

Mental conditioning and raising awareness is a seemingly slow process. Why? Because you can order a sandwich and receive it in under five minutes. You can buy things within a few clicks. And not to mention you lived most of your life one way. To change stations in your world sometimes requires putting your knowledge content in the trash. It’s time you really start savoring the little things: that flash in your face, the sudden cold spots, your skin raising hairs, and so on! If you feel it, and you’re not normally paranoid, then your gut is trying to tell you something. If you’re still doubting yourself. Try calming your mind for a moment, and observe your surroundings. If something feels as if it’s not quite “normal”, it means your mind’s eye is picking up on signals you are becoming attuned with. Don’t try to entertain everything you sense unusual about the room. Act as an observer instead, until clarity becomes your best friend.

  1. Meditate…Or Else

I’m just kidding! There’s no “or else”… unless if you’d like a little more mental freedom and clarity, then yes, do meditate! Are you looking for answers? Are you unable to calm down? Are you trying to enhance your mental stimulation and potential superpowers? Yes? Then Meditate! It would be in your best interest to have a regular routine to train your brain for a mental break/build; but don’t stress it if you can’t. Meditate whenever you can for five minutes, ten, thirty. Do it for as long as you can, and for as long as you need to. There are many different ways to meditate, and many reasons to meditate. The key is to find the method that works the best for you. When I first taught myself to meditate almost ten years ago, I would play with tangible objects that helped me stay focused until I didn’t need them any longer. Your method is your path to success. Just don’t ever be afraid to ask for help.

  1. Speaking of a Guide!

Sometimes we need more help or guidance than we think. Sometimes we need a little push up or a sign into transition. That is normal! There’s a reason why there are +7 billion people on this planet. We are meant to guide each other! Whether you are a baby witch or a sage seeking another attunement, we’re all going to need a guide to help us find the grace and wisdom we hold so dear, beneath the layers of havoc in our bosom… ehem, hearts. Reach out to someone if you have questions, need clarity, or seek out the motivation to do some greatness! Teachers are everywhere.

  1. Who / What are you going to entertain?

This is a questionable topic, I know, especially for all newbies. The truth is, the more you dive into the worlds of many myths and legends, you may be some of the lucky few to encounter beings of many varieties. It’s important for you to prepare for the unknown. What will you encounter, and for what reasons? Shall they stay? Will they go? And who needs who? Entertaining beings of other kinds isn’t unusual. Look at a lot of monotheistic religions for example. What they don’t see are the beings behind the works of said monotheism. Time to tread away from said topic…The root of this question is, who will you choose to surround you? Will they protect you, observe, absorb? You have the choice to decide whom you want to learn from and what you should not entertain. You can choose who’s on your side, and vice versa. End of story.

Being submerged into the supernatural/self is not exactly what people imagine when they talk about the subconscious realm. There exists a different set of rules. You don’t have to learn them all at once, as you are the explorer, and your own navigator. Yet, it’s important that you get kickstarted on the right foot. While journeying into the supernatural is a sacred thing, one must be, to say the least, AWARE. We are still in a battle of the souls. Be mindful of everything you do and say, because your actions speak very loudly somewhere. Be safe. Be love. And have fun! Your goal is to be better than you were the day before! Good Luck Newbies!
