Is the glass half full or half empty? This question deeply explains the biggest flaws of mankind. How can we see the same thing, yet debate over who’s right about what we are seeing? Truth is, the way you see the cup is significant in your own individual right. Yet no one is asking the right question:
Why isn’t your cup filled to the brim? What happened to the other half?
I fully recognize that this entire topic is about perspective. Are you an optimist, a pessimist, a realist?
Instead, would you prefer to step back far enough to understand what everyone in the room is talking about? Would you sit and listen to everyone’s side of the story long enough to gather that everyone is on a different path to arrive at the same location… only to wonder if that is where they wanted to land in the first place?
What happened to the other half of the cup?
Did you drink it? Did someone else? Whatever occurred to the contents does not matter as much as what you do with such a situation. Are you going to live with this sense of lack throughout your life? Will you be content, not caring about the quantity you were given?
If you stepped back long enough to listen past the chatter, your answer would be no. Fill your own damn cup!
You can live your life with the cards you were dealt with, and perceive that as you wish…they are your cards after all.. Or, you can look at the remaining deck in the hands of the dealer. What are they saving the rest of the deck for? You are the only opponent in this game of life…
What if this cup or deck of cards symbolized the energy you have to spend in your life? How would you spend or waste your energy? How would you share it? If you had a limited amount in your hands, how carefully or carelessly would you be with it, knowing you have a lifetime to use it?
Discover the missing pieces of yourself, of your life, of your cup, of your deck. It’s time to take back what you deserve. When you receive it, and your cup runs over, don’t just let it fall. Become a waterfall, or a fountain. Transcend into a stream of conscious energy that finds its way back to you, similar to the flow of this Earth. Now, you may begin your journey of internal abundance.
If you’re an empath for example, with a partially filled hand of energy, you will always feel as if your energy is spent. If you learn to fill your own cup by giving to yourself first, (allowing yourself to discover that grander things like genuine love for others begin with love for self), you can give to others in a way that may teach them to keep their energy flowing abundantly, almost as a generator. After all, when you are around the right people, you are naturally revitalized by the essence you give one another.
We live to give to, and receive from each other. In giving, we receive more than we can imagine. In receiving, we know wealth and abundance. We change in ways that serve as a powerhouse for all that we choose to impact.
When we feel, we know. And what we know, we should teach. This is the way in the flow of abundance.
